Samantha's Version
If you would have asked me 3 years ago how I met Daniel, I probably would have lied and made up some story about how our eyes met across a crowded bar. In reality our eyes saw a picture of each other on Tinder and both miraculously swiped right and matched. After only a handful of messages exchanged, Danny took a shot and asked me to an Orioles game that weekend. Though it sounds cheesy, the rest was truly history. After the baseball game we became inseparable, to the point my roommates at the time would call to check on me because I was nowhere to be found. Danny and I quickly bonded over sports (though his love for the Giants and Yankees still hurts to this day), Marvel, and food. We began taking adventures to Hershey, Boston, Philly, NYC and DC. Over our relationship we have bettered each other in ways very unique to our relationship. Danny has now tried almost every type of seafood and (mostly) enjoys it, and I now have a very unhealthy relationship with F1, specifically Lando Norris.
Over the course of our relationship we have been long distance, started 4 different jobs, become cat parents, bought a home and created a life for ourselves in Maryland. The next adventure is one that will last a lifetime and something we can't wait to share with our friends and family. Next stop: husband and wife!
Daniel's Version
I came across Samantha's profile on Tinder and the first thing that I noticed in her About Me section was that she said, "Take me out to a ball game". This was perfect because the Yankees (my favorite baseball team) were coming to Baltimore a couple of days later and I really wanted to go, but didn't want to go alone. It only took a couple of messages back and forth once we matched before the plan for our first date was set. It was one of those games where I don't remember what exactly happened given I spent the entire time talking to her. I realized early on that we had something special, but we knew I had to move away a couple of months afterwards so we fit in truly as much as we could in that time. From binging the entire collection of Marvel movies during the week to a new trip every weekend, I'd say we were successful.
Leaving her to move to Kansas for work was one of the hardest things I ever had to do, but it only made moving back to Maryland in 2022 to our first apartment together in Baltimore that much better. From that apartment to now owning a house together with our cats, I am so looking forward to our new life together as husband and wife.
